Privacy Policy

The short version. Cozy Alchemy has no accounts and no ads, and we never learn who you are. Your game is saved on your device. The app collects no analytics or usage data and sends no crash or error reports. Purchases are handled by Apple and our purchase processor, RevenueCat.
Who we are
Cozy Alchemy is made and published by Pavegrowth (Josh Pavey), an independent studio in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Cozy Alchemy app for iPhone and this website, playcozyalchemy.com. Contact: hello@playcozyalchemy.com.
Data stored on your device
Your garden, potions, coins, progress and settings are stored in a local database on your phone. They are not sent to us unless you turn on cloud save (below). Deleting the app deletes this data. The app does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, location or any other personal information, and it never reads your device's advertising identifier.
No analytics or crash reporting
The app does not collect analytics or usage data, and it does not send crash or error reports. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting software, and it does not record which screens you open, what you tap or how you play.
Earlier versions. Versions 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 of the app sent anonymous usage data and error reports to an analytics server we ran ourselves. That server was switched off on 13 October 2026. Updating to the current version stops this, and on its first launch the update deletes what that analytics software had stored on your device.
Your garden, potions, coins and progress are not sent anywhere. There is no cloud save and no account: your game lives on your phone only.
Send feedback (optional)
Settings > Send feedback emails your message to us. A name and email address are optional, and only there so we can reply; leave them blank and the message is anonymous. Nothing from the feedback sheet is stored on our server.
Updates to the app
The app can download improvements to its own software from a server we run, so fixes reach you without waiting for an App Store update. It is a one-way download of the app's code, signed so the phone can check it came from us. It carries no data about you, and nothing about your game is sent in order to get it.
In-app purchases
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store and processed by RevenueCat, which validates receipts and keeps a record of what was bought so it can be restored. RevenueCat receives a random app user id and the transaction details Apple provides; it does not receive your name or email from us. Apple's own handling of your payment is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders (for example that a bed is ready) are scheduled locally on your device. We do not run a push-notification service and do not hold notification tokens.
Selling or sharing your data
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties involved are Apple (the App Store), RevenueCat (purchase processing) and Cloudflare (hosting for our own servers), each processing data on our behalf.
This website
playcozyalchemy.com is a static site hosted on Vercel. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our host may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to operate the service.
Children's privacy
Cozy Alchemy is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to identify, provide, correct or delete. If you have emailed us feedback with your address, write to us and we will delete that email. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
